As an experienced educator, former primary teacher and Early Years specialist, I understand how to engage young children and turn a story into an experience.
My interactive author visits combine stories, nature, fascinating facts and opportunities to join in, encouraging children to be curious about the natural world and to celebrate what makes each of us different.
Sessions are available for different ages, from Early Years story experiences to creative workshops for older primary children.

Different Critters

Three little critters who discover that being different is perfectly natural!
These fun, interactive sessions combine rhyming stories, fascinating minibeast facts and plenty of opportunities to join in. Children discover that ladybirds don't always have spots, wasps don't always have stripes and spiders don't always catch their dinner in webs.
Depending on the session, children might become jumping spiders, investigate some very unusual minibeasts or head outside on a Minibeast Hunt of their own.
Perfect for: Nurseries, preschools, Reception and KS1, libraries and nature groups.

Little Wildlife Heroes
From busy bumblebees and wriggly earthworms to seahorses, sloths, pangolins and octopuses, every creature has an extraordinary story to tell.
These interactive sessions combine rhyming stories, fascinating wildlife facts and opportunities to join in, helping children discover how animals live, grow and survive and why even the smallest creatures matter.
Depending on the story chosen, children can explore an animal's lifecycle, discover some surprising facts, join in with simple actions and challenges, and think about the little things we can all do to help wildlife.
Perfect for: Reception and KS1, primary schools, libraries, museums and nature groups.

Once Upon A Wildflower
Wildflower Detectives
Step into a magical world of fairies, flowers and fascinating discoveries as children explore some of the rare and endangered wildflowers of the British Isles.
These interactive sessions combine rhyming stories, real wildflower discoveries and fascinating nature facts. Children can journey through England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, discovering why some wildflowers have become rare and meeting some of the more familiar flowers growing all around us.
Depending on the story chosen, children can become Wildflower Detectives, compare rare and common flowers, explore where different plants grow and discover simple ways we can all help wildflowers and the wildlife that depends upon them.
