Hello, I'm Kim Mackenzy Andrews.
My children’s picture books are gentle, rhyming stories with something meaningful at their heart: encouraging kindness, curiosity and a love of the natural world.
Inspired by everything from rare wildflowers to fascinating and often endangered creatures, the stories introduce young children to the wonders of nature while exploring themes of conservation, individuality and caring for the world around us.
These stories have been written, refined and loved for many years. Now, at last, I have had the joy of bringing them to life through my own illustrations.
I hope you and your little readers enjoy discovering them as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
Kim's Story
Kim started putting pen and paintbrush to paper for fun, many more years ago than she likes to admit. After much learning, editing, rewriting and re-drawing - plus plenty of blood, sweat, toil and tears, a selection has finally made it. Published in these three series: Once Upon A Wildflower; Bizarre Bugs & Lifecycle Love Stories.
