You may see the terms Case Bound PPC and Perfect Bound when choosing the format of one of our books. These are simply printing terms used to describe the type of book binding.Case Bound PPC (Hardback)This is our hardback edition. The pages are securely bound inside a sturdy, rigid cover, with the cover artwork printed directly onto the outside of the book. PPC stands for Printed Paper Case. It creates a durable, high-quality finish that is particularly lovely for children's picture books and makes a great choice for gifts or keepsakes.Perfect Bound (Paperback)This is our paperback edition. The pages are securely glued into a flexible printed cover, creating the familiar, lightweight paperback format. It offers the same beautiful interior pages and illustrations as the hardback edition, but at a lower price. And what about the pages inside? Both our hardback and paperback children's picture books are printed on 150gsm coated paper. This quality paper has a slight sheen that helps colours and illustrations appear bright and vibrant, making it particularly well suited to children's picture books. So, if you see these terms when ordering, simply think:Case Bound PPC = HardbackPerfect Bound = Paperback
