Walter the cuckoo wasp has a problem...he doesn't have stripes, like other wasps.

While the wasps buzz proudly through the garden showing off off their neat black and yellow stripes, Walter's body shimmers with metallic colours instead. He feels different, awkward and out of place.

Walter's journey takes him to Rainbow's End to meet creatures who help him look at himself in new ways. Walter eventually discovers that he doesn't need to be like the others and his sparkling colours are what makes him wonderful.
